[ROW+REFORM+RELEVÉ FOR WILMER HALL]
Each quarter Mission Fitness chooses a local non-profit to illuminate. Through community events and our Health + Heart community infusion, we bring much-needed awareness and resources to these worthy organizations. Our Legacy Members help us in selecting our charity of choice each quarter through a nomination and voting process.
[WILMER HALL]
The Mission Fitness Charity of Choice [first quarter 2018] was Wilmer Hall Children's Home. [Legacy Member, Mae Dennis, happens to serve as the Director of Development at Wilmer Hall.] For those who are not aware, Wilmer Hall is an organization that has been serving children in need in Mobile, Alabama since 1864. Wilmer Hall serves children and young adults through several on-campus programs that provide tutoring, on-campus living and other tools needed to succeed. Wilmer Hall offers education programs, residential living programs, transitional living programs and transitional family programs.
[ROW+REFORM+RELEVÉ]
We can't thank our members enough for their support of [Row+Reform+Relevé], our fundraising event for Wilmer Hall. The proceeds of this event, along with community infusion dollars [from our Health + Heart memberships], allowed us to contribute $550 to Wilmer Hall to benefit the children it serves. That, my friends, is how we [sweat for good].
SPOILER ALERT...Our next quarter's Charity of Choice is [FUSE PROJECT] We're looking forward to future events and the work that we can do [TOGETHER] to positively impact our friends and neighbors. Next quarter we're joining forces with the FUSE Project, participating in the annual Dragon Boat Race [Saturday, June 9], investing in the world's most valuable resource - EDUCATION of children. [FUSE Project is dedicated to providing the spark for innovation, funding and implementation of projects benefiting children along Alabama's Gulf Coast - promoting the health, fitness, education and social responsibility of our children.] Another fun fact? Mission Fitness Legacy Member, Matt Zarzour is a Fuse Project Board Member. Thank you for the awesome work you do through FUSE, Matt!
